Historic full length (70ft) wooden narrowboat, 'Chance 2'.Originally a butty, but converted for self propulsion with Royal Enfield Engine (currently decommissioned), and Hotchkiss cones rather than a propeller, making her a unique narrowboat in this respect. History needs further research but it is believed she is approximately 100 years old, and originally worked for Chance and Hunt Ltd, a chemicals company based in Oldbury before joining Thomas Clayton's famous fleet of tar boats. She has also been a home for self sufficiency author and guru John Seymour, and may also have gone under the names 'Valentine' and 'Heritage', during her lifetime.
